On the morning of January 9, 2019, Zhu Huming, director of Gansu Fire Brigade Training Base Office, Yang Haoye, deputy director of Propaganda and Education Center of Gansu Emergency Management Department, Liang Zhuqing of Lanzhou Resource and Environment Voca-Tech College and other five people visited IDP for investigation and exchange. Liu Chunping, vice president of IDP, warmly received Zhu Huming and his party. Heads of Academic Affairs Office, College of Geosciences, College of Geological Engineering and School of Emergency Management attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Chunping.

At the meeting, Liang Zhuqing introduced the development history and school running situation of Lanzhou Resource and Environment Voca-Tech College. Under the leadership of Gansu Provincial Emergency Management Department, the school planned to promote the construction of emergency rescue, production safety and disaster prevention and mitigation, which complemented the professional foundation of IDP. He hoped to learn from our experience in the professional settings, curriculum system construction, emergency rescue, and raining base construction.

Liu Chunping introduced the construction and development situation, institutional setting, development strategy and planning, disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency rescue, related specialty and construction achievements of IDP. He hoped that both sides would actively strengthen exchanges in personnel training, discipline construction, continuing education, etc., so as to jointly improve the quality of personnel training and serve the development of national emergency management.

The person in charge of the Academic Affairs Office, School of Geosciences, School of Geological Engineering and School of Emergency Management respectively introduced the talent training system, discipline construction and laboratory construction achievements, as well as the training situation and planning of disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency management and other professional talents in IDP. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues of common concern.

Liang and his party also visited the disaster emergency disposal laboratory, rescue technology and equipment laboratory, earth exploration and information technology laboratory, earthquake monitoring and prediction laboratory, active structure and earthquake geological disaster laboratory, underground structure and engineering geological test site.
