On September 12, Dr. Leng Faguang, General Manager of Building Materials Co., Ltd., China Academy of Building Research was invited over for academic exchange at the School of Civil Engineering. He gave an academic report entitled The Direction of Cement Industry Development and the Standard Interpretation and Application of Mixed Silicate Cement. Undergraduates, graduate students and some of the faculty listened to the report.

Professor Guo Xun, Vice President of IDP, expressed his thankfulness to Dr. Leng for his contribution to the training of IDP’s graduate students. He also expressed hope for further cooperation in teaching and research in the future.

Dr. Leng introduced the scientific research and development, the international cooperation and the conversion of achievements into productive force in China Academy of Building Research and Building Materials Co., Ltd. He also explained in detail the reasons for and the contents of compiling the standard of Mixed Silicate Cement.

The atmosphere of the academic exchange was warm. Both teachers and students showed keen interest in the report.
